Entering an Eataly store is like entering a multi-colored carousel where you are in contact with food in all its dimensions. The relationship between modern and traditional that is denoted in the Eataly settings reflects what is the purpose of the company or to re-establish contact with our roots while remaining open to the changes of the future, the same philosophy that is perceived precisely in the name born from the union of Eat + Italy giving precisely Eataly.
The relationship with food
The goal is to offer its customers real sensory experiences in which you can discover food in all its aspects, making the consumer participate in the story of the product he is tasting and providing greater awareness of the various products.
It all started in 2007 with the first store opened in Turin which sees the fulfillment of the idea of the entrepreneur Oscar Farinetti, from here begins the growth and spread of sales centers in Italy with offices in Genoa, Rome, Florence, Milan and also at the Fiera del Levante in Bari.
The presence on the territory
The presence of this colossus was also felt and noticed during the 2015 Milan Expo where it represented Italy in the pavilion dedicated to our beautiful country, providing a broad vision of a part of our heritage showing its heterogeneity in culinary and cultural sphere of the various Italian regions. The spaces of Eataly are designed for all types of customers, from Italians who experiment with dishes and flavors from other Italian regions but also for tourists visiting our beautiful country who in this way can have a quick but comprehensive look at what Italy has to offer on the food and wine level.
Eataly in Europe and beyond!
Within the Eataly spaces you also have the opportunity to buy and take home some of the ingredients that are the cornerstones of the dish just tasted, giving you the opportunity to experiment and reproduce it in a home environment. And if you are not good enough in the kitchen, you can always take advantage of the courses held in the Eataly locations to improve or learn new culinary techniques, thus having a new approach to what represents one of the most important aspects of our daily life: food. The opening of stores abroad both in Europe and beyond, has sometimes aroused criticism and provided conflicting opinions on how the Italian product is perceived in this way abroad, but there are certainly many positive results.
One among many is certainly the great enthusiasm it has given above all to Italian emigrants who manage in this way to return and stay in touch with Italy by recalling, through a taste of the various dishes, the experiences and memories lived in their own nation. Despite the presence of many Italian places open abroad, Eataly represents for our European and non-European friends a different opportunity to experience, even if in part, what is our culture based on the love for food and tease the their fantasy for a trip to our much vaunted beauties. Definitely recommended a visit to the Eataly stores to try and see food from a new perspective!
