Here's when the 2023-24 school year starts

As they know, throughout Italy the first ring of the bell which heralds the start of the new school year differs from region to region. I am 7,4 million Italian students who will return to class. Here's when it starts:

Bolzano Tuesday 5 September. Piedmont, Trentino and Valle d'Aosta, Monday 11 September. Lombardy on 12 September.
Il September 13th Students from numerous regions will return to school: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Campania, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Marche, Sicily, Umbria and Veneto.
Il September 14th it will be the turn of: Calabria, Liguria, Molise, Puglia and Sardinia.
The beginning of the school year ends onEmilia Romagna, Tuscany and Lazio, Friday 15 September.

The lessons will end in 6 and 11 June 2024.

The newness

Among the novelties of this new year there will be more support teachers for disabled students; For fourth grade primary school students lintroduction of motor education followed by a specific teacher.

An army of 40 thousand tutors and 10 thousand guidance counselors arrives for high school students to provide assistance and support to those in need. They will work in the fourth and fifth grades, after taking a course all summer.

Additionally, a few dozen classes at four-year vocational schools will also start this September.

Long weekends and holidays

There will also be many long weekends and holidays this year. Here are what they are:

Le Christmas holidays in all regions, 23 6 from December to January 2024 inclusive; The Easter holidays from 28 March to 2 April 2024

Bridges:

Thursday November 2 after All Saints' Day there will be no lessons in: Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Molise, Sardinia, Sicily, Umbria. For the celebration ofImmaculate Conception the regions that have decided to close schools on both Friday 8 and Saturday 9 December are: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Piedmont, Puglia, Umbria, Valle d'Aosta, Veneto, provinces of Bolzano and Trento.

Another bridge, on the occasion of the celebration of Liberation, there will be no school from The 25 27 April 2024 in Calabria, Campania, Piedmont, Valle d'Aosta, Bolzano.

Next, there the long weekend of May 1st, which in 2024 will fall on a Wednesday: Liguria and Molise have decided to 'hook' it to Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th April.

Holidays and long weekends are skipped for the June 2nd celebration which this year falls on a Sunday.
