As is well known, Taranto's appeal against the 4-point penalty seriously risks postponing the play-offs. President Marani intervened in this regard and explained that an extraordinary council has been convened to discuss the dates of the play offs. A shift is therefore feared.
These are his words: “We have convened an extraordinary Board of Directors for tomorrow at 12.30pm to decide the starting date of the playoffs, in light of the judgment still pending before the Coni Board of Guarantee on Taranto's appeal. The possible postponement of the start date of the playoffs will be discussed by the Council tomorrow. In the next 24 hours, according to the indications of the FIGC - which I thank for their efforts - we should know the official day of the hearing at CONI".
