Cinque Terre, Alberobello, Burano: these are the Italian locations entered by Road Affair among the 25 most beautiful villages in the world. A ranking, drawn up by the famous magazine, which sees Popeye triumph: the Maltese village, abandoned shortly after the end of the filming of the musical "Popeye" with Robin Williams, dominates from above. And it is followed by Hallstatt (the most photographed village in Austria) and Simiane La Rotonde (corner of France surrounded by olive trees and lavender fields). The five seaside villages that make up the Cinque Terre are the first among the Italians, and are positioned in fourth place.

In tenth place among the most beautiful villages in the world we find Alberobello, a village in the province of Bari famous throughout the world for its trulli. "Alberobello is a quiet Italian town famous above all for its strange fourteenth-century beehive-shaped houses. Local limestone buildings, topped with cone-shaped roofs, often have a white tip as if sprinkled by snow. And they are decorated with painted symbols that are said to have religious significance". Perfect for a day trip, its restaurants smell of orecchiette with turnip greens, chops and almond milk.
Finally, in sixteenth place in the ranking, there are the colorful houses of Burano. Those same buildings that make the city of lace one of the most colorful places on the planet. In the Venetian Lagoon, this islet brings an almost tropical atmosphere with its city, the emerald-colored canals, a XNUMXth century bell tower and that skill in lace processing which led even Leonardo da Vinci up to here.
