“I was born where everything buried speaks of wine… and of life. Calabria has given me so much, it raised me in a village where everyone is the same height. He taught me respect for others, how to stop time, the value of fragility, the solution of listening. I strongly wanted my children to have the same opportunity, to attend the same school. So, around the age of forty, after having been a molecular biologist, internist, teaching and practicing ultrasound and emergency medicine, I felt the need to give something back to the place that had raised me and thrown me into the world. "

Thus was born, in the Olympus of the gods "terroir", in the alma tellus of cultivars, in the land founded by Enotrio, the "Le Moire". The moiras are the three sisters with long dark arms that spin, weave and interrupt the thread of life. They represent destiny. The businessman Paolo Chirillo he wanted his trust in Calabria to be sanctioned in the name of the company, in a cry of the sun asking for redemption; a land of wine and people, of history and traditions. The Le Moire logo is in fact tripartite and represented by a thread, which binds, which surrounds, which holds life and people in their being together, as does wine.

The wines of Le moire are wines from the vineyard. Produced in Calabria, in the middle Savuto valley, in the municipality of Motta Santa Lucia (CZ). The vineyards are located around 400 m. above sea level, on terraces that slope down to the Savuto river, surrounded by pristine woods. The ecosystem virgin and the wind that goes up the valley from the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea safeguard the health of the vines and allow to minimize the use of pesticides for their defense. The paroxysmal temperature changes given by the nearby river course intensify the aromas of the native cultivars. The prevailing exposure to the evening sun favors a slow and late ripening of the grapes which mitigates the harshness typical of southern wines. The agronomic choices focus on narrow sixths with planting densities higher than eight thousand plants per hectare. This, together with low-vigor rootstocks, low espaliers and painstaking and manual management of all phases of the plant's life cycle - from winter pruning to harvesting - allows each vine to limit production to a few sweet, healthy and fragrant clusters.

There are four creatures from Le Moire, each with a story to tell and with unique characteristics.  

Near the vineyards there is a Roman bridge on the Via Popilia, dated around 206 BC. An architectural work of spectacular grandeur, known as the Hannibal bridge because of its connection to his flight to Terina chased by the Romans. This is how wine is born Hannibal, which has the strength of the conqueror and the memory of the elephant.
Zaleucus, the first Western legislator in Locri in the sixth century BC. C. Today Calabria is known for something else. But we must remember that we were the ones there, that we have that history behind us. Thus was born the Zaleuco wine, bright and powerful like the philosopher's thought.
