Italy is also growing in its awareness of renewable energy. There is no shortage of projects and one of these is being talked about a lot these days.
Is called Cer Imotorre la renewable energy community with public-private participation promoted by the Municipality of Torre Boldone (Bergamo). It is the largest in Italy.
It is equipped with more 6300 photovoltaic and hydroelectric systems and more than 3 megawatts of power for a green energy production of 4 million kilowatts per year which will guarantee savings on the electricity supply of families in the area, approximately 8500 residents.
The objectives of the renewable energy project
In addition to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions Cer Imotorre aims to contribute to the use of land in a conscious manner.
In the next few days, close to photovoltaic panels, both will be positioned bee colony with around 40 hives and crops that favor the pollination activity of bees. They will also planted about a thousand shrubs across the entire perimeter affected by the project.
The host community will benefit not only from a 25% saving on your bill, but also ofreduction of Co2 emissions and will contribute to the reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases, as envisaged by the objectives of the 2030 Agenda.
