Pandemic emergency: the Conte government is already thinking of a new Dpcm to contain the contagion curve that is still rising steeply. According to the first rumors released by the agencies, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte with cabinet he would be thinking of targeted lockdowns and precise limits of movement from one region to another.

Today's bulletin recorded 31.758 new infections and 297 deaths; the ratio of positive cases to swabs reached 14,7%, the highest ever recorded so far. In addition, a meeting is scheduled for tomorrow morning between the executive and the governors of the regions. While in the afternoon, the prime minister will confront the group leaders of the majority and, most likely, also with the opposition.

It seems that in the new Dpcm which should be official as early as next Monday, you can move from one region to another only for reasons of work, health and urgency. It is not yet clear, however, whether these restrictions will only affect any red areas or the whole national territory.

The national executive asked for further information from the Scientific Technical Committee which is updating the list of the areas considered most at risk. The hypothesis is that of a new squeeze to stop the contagion in the regions (or in the cities) with an Rt index out of control.

The well-informed say that the government ministers have considered the possibility of declaring the lockdown in large metropolitan areas, including Milan and Naples, Caserta, Varese and Genoa, Como, Turin. And also some cities of central and southern Veneto.

Of course, nothing is certain and official yet. It seems that the new Conte decree will also include new rules for shop hours with new restrictions for sports activities and for the personal care sector.
