The new Dpcm of the Conte government will go into effect tonight at midnight, which imposes new restrictions to limit infections from Covid-19. In recent weeks, the health emergency due to the Coronavirus pandemic has recorded new worrying surges; the positive cases are growing exponentially and the government led by Giuseppe Conte intended to run for cover. The one signed today is in fact the third Dpcm launched in a few days: the new provisions will be valid until November 24th.
Contagions soaring
“The latest epidemiological data we have analyzed cannot leave us indifferent. The analysis indicates a rapid growth with the consequence that the stress on the national health system has reached worrying levels ". Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said this in the press conference held today in Palazzo Chigi. "We must do everything possible to protect health and the economy. Hence - Conte asserted - the need for more restrictive measures, which will come into force this evening until November 24".
“We want to keep the epidemiological curve under control because this is the only way we will be able to manage the pandemic without being overwhelmed by it. But - added the premier - this means offer an efficient response and adequate care to all citizens and avert the generalized lockdown: the country can no longer afford it. We have not introduced a curfew - the Prime Minister pointed out - it is not a word we love ”.
Support for activities in difficulty
“The country is exhausted, tired from this situation - Conte reiterated - I am aware of the situation of many workers who cannot count on a fixed income. The government makes a commitment with them to support them with contributions on which we have reasoned and will continue to think together with the trade associations. The reimbursements - explained the premier - will arrive by bank transfer to the current accounts of the interested parties.
In addition, there will also be deductions and support measures for rents. We guarantee layoffs, as well as a one-off bonus for seasonal workers ". The Prime Minister he then highlighted: “The EU has stipulated contracts with the pharmaceutical manufacturers of vaccines. We hope that the first doses to be administered to the most fragile categories will arrive in the first part of December ".
New restrictions to stop the infections and avoid the lockdown
The new government provisions confirm the closure of restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors and pastry shops at 18pm, on weekdays and Sundays. Consumption at the table is allowed for a maximum of four people per table, all cohabitants therefore belonging to the same family unit.
Stop at movies, theaters, casinos, betting rooms. They close gyms, swimming pools, spas and spas. Sports events and competitions are allowed, as well as training sessions for competitive athletes. All this, inside sports facilities used behind closed doors or outdoors without the presence of the public. Finally, basic sports activities and motor activities in general carried out in public and private sports centers and clubs are allowed in compliance with the rules on social distancing.
Distance learning is back in schools
Distance teaching in high school will be able to reach one hundred percent, according to the provisions of the new Dpcm in force from tomorrow. Now the ball passes into the hands of school autonomies. In fact, the school managers will decide the distance learning quota to be carried out in each school. In this regard, pupils with disabilities and Bes, or special educational needs, must be safeguarded.
The new rules that aim to block the spread of infections "strongly recommend do not travel by public or private means of transport. Except for work, study or health reasons. And, again, for situations of need, to carry out activities or take advantage of unsuspended services". Also in the new Dpcm it is established that public and private competitions can still be held, including those already in progress.
