Founded in Massa in 1999 by Patrizia Fazzi, Edizioni Clandestine is known for being one of the Italian publishing houses born at the end of the last century united by the vision of an independent and free culture; aligning itself with technological and social processes and, at the same time, practicing social commitment as the basis of its values, it has been included by Il Sole 24 Ore in the restricted list of publishers active in committed recycling and has supported, at various times, Amnesty International , Greenpeace and Doctors Without Borders.
The commitment to freedom and independence of expression culminated in the revival of controversial political texts without critical notes, including Hitler's Mein Kampf (a choice that sparked controversy at the 2018 International Book Fair, generating a debate on the censorship on which the director of the Salone Nicola Lagioia took the defense of the Tuscan publishing house) and The red book by Mao Zedong.

Editions Cladestine - Patrizia Fazzi

The production of works crucial to Italian political and social history is abundant, among which the collections edited by the late journalist and writer Paola Staccioli stand out, such as Strawberries and Blood (book focused on workers', student and female protests of the Sixties and Seventies) in which we find stories by Erri De Luca and Andrea Camilleri among others, or La rossa primavera (stories of resistance among whose authors include Francesco Guccini, Lidia Ravera and Erri De Luca himself).
The work of translating and disseminating works on humanitarian issues such as Behind the Burqa by Batya Swift Yasgur, The Days of ETA and the writings of the UN activist consultant Marc Vachon is very precious.

Edizioni Clandestine then published the complete work of the writer, performer and anarchist activist Andrea Salieri, author of the novel L'omicidio Berlusconi from which the film I killed Berlusconi with Andrea Roncato and Alberto Bognanni, winner of the Drake Film Festival of Caserta of the Best Actor Award.
Finally, among the prominent works, we also remember three novels by Luca Farinotti (rector of the Italian Culture Academy of italiani.it), in particular #mondoristorante, documentary novel on global food policies finalist Bancarella.
