With the arrival of summer returns "Experience the Castle of Wonders“, The new season of appointments in the Spianata dei Signori del Santa Severa Castle. One of the most important monuments of historical and archaeological interest, located in the hamlet of Santa Severa in the municipality of Santa Marinella in Lazio, is ready to act as a suggestive background for music, theater, dance and art events.
A program full of opportunities promoted by the Lazio Region and organized by the LAZIOcrea regional company, in collaboration with the Zip Zone association. From 2 July to 26 September there will be space for a rich review of events, guided tours and activities for young and old. Some spaces of the Castle of Santa Severa have been subject to redevelopment. The baptistery has been restored, as well as interventions have also been carried out in the access roads to the structure and in the parking lot. Built in the XNUMXth century, the Castle according to the Christian tradition it is the site where the young Severa of Pyrgi, with her brothers Calendino and Marco, received martyrdom. Over the years, the beach in front of it has also been used as a location for films and TV series such as "Three meters above the sky" and "I Medici".
The July program
Among the main events in July, there are the concerts of the Ben Band (scheduled for July 2nd), Nada (3 July) e Gaia (10th of July). On the 4th of July Gabriele Lavia will be staged: “Lavia says Leopardi”. Curated by Effimera - Compagnia Orsini. There is also space for a tribute to Anna Magnani scheduled for Sunday 11 July. On the 13th Roberto Gatto Imperfect Trio / Ainè will perform opening Dario Piccioni Trio + Mikely Family Band. The day after space a Lightning who participated in the last Sanremo Festival with a song dedicated to Santa Marinella. Also from Sanremo Giovani on July 17th Wrongonyou will perform in the company of Emma Nolde. July 18 dedicated to the theater with "To the moon History of the first moon landing", an open-air show directed by Yuri Napoli, staged with Giorgia Battistoni who plays Oriana Fallaci. Tuesday 27 July at 21 pm “From hell to infinity” with Monica Guerritore.
The events in August at the Castle of Santa Severa
The month of August begins with “United for the music”, hymn to the maestro Ennio Morricone. It continues on 3 August with "The Fall of Troy" with Massimo Popolizio, while on 5 August "All about Eva" will be staged with Maria Pia De Vito and Raiz. On 6 August it will be the turn of Ascanio Celestini and the show "Jokes". For August 14 at 21 is scheduled "Music is dangerous" by Maestro Nicola Piovani. On 19 and 20 August space for Riccardo Rossi Cabaret and Rodrigo Live with Luca Ravenna. Beppe Servillo and Danilo Rea will be staged on August 26 with “Napoli e Jazz”. The month of September opens with Naked Music (Petra Magoni and Ferruccio Spinetti), while Riccardo Sinigallia will be staged on 4 August. The costumed representation of the fairy tale "The Ghosts of the Castle" from the book "Le favole del Castello" by Laura Pastore closes on 26 September.
