Strega Prize, the steering committee chaired by Melania Mazzucco, has chosen the 12 candidate books for the 2023 edition among the 80 titles proposed by the Amici della Domenica jury. The announcement of the five finalists is scheduled for June 7 at the Roman Theater of Benevento. The election of the winner will be on July 6 at the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia, in Rome.

The European Witch Prize renew the collaboration with the Turin International Book Fair where the selected authors and authors will present their respective books in the competition again this year. Everyone will be the protagonist of an individual meeting, between 19 and 21 May next. The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday 21 May at 18.30 pm at the Circolo dei Lettori in Turin.
The prize is awarded every year by a jury made up of 24 Italian writers and winners, finalists and finalists of the Strega Prize. Five recently translated writers who have won an important national recognition in their countries of origin compete. There will also be recognition for the translator of the award-winning book, offered by Bper Banca.
