Initiatives related to continue “Week of Italian Cuisine in the World” (SCIM) which this year is taking place from November 13th to 19th.

The “Week of Italian Cuisine in the World”

It is a week in which, in embassies, consulates, Italian cultural institutes and in the offices of the Foreign Trade Institute throughout the world, our cuisine and the products of our territory are celebrated. There will be many events this year; over a thousand initiatives including in-depth seminars, meetings with chefs, training and demonstration classes with sector operators.

This is one way to spread Italian cuisine around the world. Among other things, there are more than 7 million Italians living abroad; these numbers rise if we include those with an Italian component.

The “Week of Italian Cuisine in the World”, Puglia and Sicily protagonists in Paris

La Puglia , Sicilia were the protagonists of the event which was held last night and organized by the Italian Representation in International Organizations in the French capital.

The aim of the evening was to promote Italian food and wine culture in the world; in fact, the aim was to give prominence to the candidacy of “Italian cuisine between sustainability and biocultural diversity” a UNESCO intangible heritage site. The candidacy was proposed last March by the Italian government and was subsequently approved by the Board of Directors of the Italian National UNESCO Commission.

During the event, the link between the Apulian wines of Cantine Cantele and the dishes of the Sicilian chef Valentina Laudonia was presented.

The tasting had as musical accompaniment the concert performed by the master violinist Francesco Del Prete.

Once again Puglia is the protagonist... in Japan

And Puglia is still the protagonist, but this time in Japan, with an evening dedicated to traditional cuisine. Over 150 guests including institutions, the press and even Japanese influencers were present.

The initiative took place in residence of the Italian ambassador to Japan, it was the flagship event organized by the Puglia Region which fits into the context of Week of Italian Cuisine in the World.

For the occasion, a tasting menu was organized inspired by the tradition of Apulian cuisine and which drove those present crazy.

Two events will be held tomorrow: “Fresh Pasta Party”, dedicated to Apulian food and wine, e “Puglia Lifestyle Night, Raw Fish Vs Sushi, Picky the bar”. And this time too there will be some well-known names from the Japanese scene.
