Internships and internships were created to give job seekers the opportunity to train and, at the same time, make themselves known to local companies looking for staff to join their business. Law 92 of 2012, the so-called Fornero Law, established a minimum salary of 300 euros per month for apprenticeships extracurriculars and internships training.
Difference between internship and internship
It is necessary to know that there is a substantial difference between internships and training internships, as the former concern university institutions and training bodies and provide for compensation in credits, while the latter provides for actual remuneration. This remuneration is not a salary, but a simple participation allowance internship for which the intern will not receive a pay slip. The internship is exempt from contributions and insurance, is subject to Irpef withholdings and follows the directives of the latest tax reform.
Activation and regulations region by region
The activation of the training includes a training plan signed by the tutor of a company, by the employment center and by the person to be included. According to Law 92, the latter will be paid a minimum amount of 300 euros, but individual regions are given the freedom to assign even greater amounts in relation to the quantity of hours spent on the internship.
Liguria, Campania, Abruzzo, Toscana e Sicilia have established an indemnity of 500 euros, Emilia Romagna, Puglia ed Umbria they will pay the intern with a minimum amount of 450 euros instead Basilicata e Sardinia they will provide a monthly allowance of 600 euros.
La Valle d'Aosta will give 300 euros for 20 hours and 600 euros for 40 hours per week, while the Calabria has established a minimum compensation of 400 euros with a minimum frequency of 70% of the hours expected monthly.
Il Molise has differentiated training internships from insertion ones. For the former, the minimum compensation corresponds to 300 euros for 20 hours per week and 450 euros for 30 hours, while for the latter it ranges from 400 to 600 euros.
Le Marche they will give from 400 to 500 euros based on the weekly hours worked, while in Lazio trainees will receive 800 euros with a 70% attendance rate. In the Veneto 350 to 450 euros are expected depending on whether the company provides meal vouchers or canteen service.
Il Friuli Venezia Giulia will give from 300 euros for 20 hours to 800 for 40 hours per week, while the Piemonte has established 300 euros for part-time and 600 euros for full-time.
La Lombardia will provide 500 euros per month for 80% of the hours of attendance and 350 euros for a presence in the company of no more than 4 hours per day.
Il Trentino Alto Adige established that in province of Trento the intern has a salary ranging from 300 to 600 euros, instead in the province of Bolzano has established a fixed rate on an hourly basis, i.e. 4 euros for adults and 3 euros for minors, with the addition of 1,50 euros for those who will have to carry out their internship outside the municipality of residence.
