Milan Fashion Week 2021, the week dedicated to fashion, opened yesterday in a digital edition, with the presentation of the various brands, and will go on until March 1st. It is carried out in collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ICE-Agency. As happened last year, also this year, due to the anti Covid-19 security measures, the parades they will be in virtual format. The only exceptions are those of Del Core (February 24) and Valentino (March 1).
The calendar
Milan Fashion Week 2021, the CNMI (National Chamber of Italian Fashion) has presented the calendar of the autumn-winter 2021-2022 fashion shows. The collections will be visible, as well as on the same website of the Chamber of Fashion, on the institutional websites and on the social channels of the various brands. Below, all the appointments.

Today the tribute to Beppe Modenese
Milan Fashion Week 2021 opens today with a tribute to Beppe Modenese, honorary president of Cnmi, who passed away on 21 November at the age of 92. Immediately after, “We are Made in Italy”, a project focused on multiculturalism promoted by the Black Lives Matter collective in Italian Fashion. Thanks to it, five young black designers will be able to present their collections in this edition.
During the particularly rich day, it will be possible to admire the fashion shows of Missoni, Simona Marziale, Calcaterra, Giuseppe Buccinnà, Alberta Ferretti, Fendi (this is the first autumn winter prêt-à-porter collection designed by the new creative director Kim Jones), N.21, Del Core (who will be live), Brunello Cucinelli (who will bring his collection for winter 2021 from Solomeo to the catwalk), Fabio Quaranta. The appointment will close with the fashion movie "Human Poetics", presented by the Florentine school Polimoda. Despite the restrictions linked to the pandemic, which do not allow parties to be held, at 21 pm, on the Instagram profile of Camera Moda, it will be possible to participate in the digital party "Cnmi meets club tomorrow".
Valentino closes with a live show
Milan Fashion Week 2021 provides for a total of 140 appointments. Among these, there will be 68 fashion shows (of which only two live), 65 presentations e 7 events. For the first time, Brunello Cucinelli, Alessandro dell'Acqua x Elena Mirò, Onitsuka Tiger and Del Core are on the show calendar. To close this edition of the fashion week will be the stylists Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana (absent since 1998). Valentino, who has always preferred the Parisian catwalks to the Milanese ones, will stage his Act Collection live at the historic Piccolo Teatro in Milan. Versace will be missing, which will parade off-calendar on March 5th, in a digital event.
