A “special” train on the Italian tracks: it is the Frecciarossa ETR 500 which will cover the itinerary between Turin and Reggio Calabria until 31 October, crossing the places where General Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa lived and worked. The Frecciarossa with the image and a reflection of the late general was presented on platform 1 of the Termini Station in Rome. Present were the sons of Dalla Chiesa and numerous military and institutional authorities.
The General's Frecciarossa
On 3 September 1982, General Dalla Chiesa was the victim of an ambush in Palermo together with his wife Emanuela Setti Carraro and escort agent Domenico Russo. A 40 of the massacre of via Carini, Ferrovie dello Stato and Arma dei Carabinieri remember him with a train with a commemorative livery depicting Dalla Chiesa's face and words. On the train are imprinted the image of him, the date of birth and death and a sentence of him that reads like this. "Some things are not done out of courage, they are done only to look more serenely in the eyes of their children and our children's children".

For the Minister of Defense, Lorenzo Guerini, “having created this livery on a train with such a long distance gives the sense of retracing the steps of General Dalla Chiesa. Many of the places where he has served will be touched by this train. Dalla Chiesa's journey continues, it still passes through the life of Italians today ”.
