  • Lemon and hot water as soon as you wake up make you lose weight.

A cup of hot water with lemon would be able to make us lose weight, without special attention at the table. What old aunt has never given this advice? To think of her as the wise relative are the majority of Italians. But experts call it a hoax.

Drinking water helps us hydrate and is good for you. But there is no evidence that drinking hot lemon water in the morning has any effect on weight loss. To lose weight you need regular physical activity and correct eating habits.

  • The fats in cookies and breakfast pastries are bad.

Are we sure that fats are to be demonized? Through fats we take in substances necessary for the proper functioning of our organism, such as fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) and high nutrients such as, for example, essential fatty acids. (omega 6 and omega 3). This does not mean overdoing the fat. They shouldn't exceed 25-30% of your total daily calories.

  • More protein breakfast means healthier.

60% of our compatriots believe in this false myth. Meals must be as complete as possible and must provide all the nutrients. (carbohydrates, proteins, fats, water, fiber, mineral salts and vitamins).

In the ideal breakfast, the correct distribution is as follows: 70% carbohydrates, 20% proteins, 10% fats.

  • Super food starts with the right sprint

Let's not fall in love with "trendy products" at the table. For 60% of Italians it would seem important to consume "super food" for breakfast. It is a passing fad.

Each food has intrinsic characteristics. Some spices contain substances that can boast anti-inflammatory properties, red fruits contain vitamins and mineral salts. But they cannot be called better than others nor consider them important in the morning.

  • Breakfast is no problem skipping it

Only 17% of Italians think that breakfast is overrated. Fortunately, it helps to maintain metabolic balance and to promote the proper functioning of organs and systems.

Furthermore, several studies have highlighted benefits in case of cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, alteration of fats in the blood, related to the regular consumption of breakfast, especially if it is based on foods rich in fiber and with low glycemic index carbohydrates.

For those who have no appetite in the morning, it is advisable to move breakfast later. But never go fast until lunch.
