In this finale on Sunday we admire Cornello dei Tasso, The most beautiful village in Italy in the province of Bergamo, Lombardy.

Cornello dei Tasso is a place where the medieval urban structure has been best preserved. At one time, the village was the center of trade that took place with the Valtellina along the via mercatorum and home to an important market. At the end of the sixteenth century his fortune began to decline and the village was excluded from commercial traffic.

The secular isolation has favored the conservation of the original urban fabric; the original structure is practically intact and the Romanesque bell tower still stands out in the woods.

Cornello is a corner out of time, which could not be ruined. Cornello has linked its name to that of the ancient family Tasso, known for being the birthplace of the two great scholars Bernardo Tasso and his son Torquated, author of the Jerusalem Liberated.
