Healthy nutrition, the initiatives of the Ministry of Health

On the occasion of the World Day, the Ministry of Health has created an editorial initiative entitled Nutrition by playing: basic principles for proper nutrition for the promotion of food education starting from primary school. The editorial series consists of two ebooks. The first, aimed at teachers, is aimed at transmitting the concept of healthy nutrition to the child. This through simple information relating to the definition of nutrients, the correct reading of the label, the methods of cooking food up to safety at the table. The second, aimed directly at the pupils, contains summary cards, illustrations and educational games to be played in class or at home, independently or in groups.

The contents, adapted to the chosen target, are rich in images, to make reading enjoyable and able to stimulate the active construction of knowledge on the role that proper nutrition plays on the state of health. The ministry has also created a information booklet for the elderly by Title Long… evo is my style. The paper contains ten useful tips, which underline the importance of a varied and balanced diet even during old age. Finally, the small vademecum was also created Nutrition 11 and praise, or a daily guide to healthy eating to feel good with the body and mind.
