The Buonconsiglio domain

Do not miss the Buonconsiglio Castle, a set of buildings that tell centuries of Trento's history. An agglomeration that dominates the city from a hill. It contains several elements: the beauty stands out above all Loggia from which to admire the panorama below and the majestic tower called Keep of Castelvecchio.
The Buonconsiglio represents a historical and artistic attraction for the whole Region thanks to the collections of paintings and ancient objects and the frescoes it houses.
You can't miss a souvenir photo near it Fountain of Neptune, located in Piazza Duomo, dating back to the 1767th century. Designed by the sculptor Francesco Antonio Giongo di Lavarone between 1769 and XNUMX, who created a continuous water flow system.

The MART

If you love modern art, you cannot fail to take a trip to the MARCH, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Rovereto and Trento. It is one of the most important museums in Northern Italy. It is located about thirty km from the capital. The structure has a futuristic frame with the unmistakable dome in Plexiglas and steel. Inside are kept works by artists of the twentieth century such as Morandi, De Chirico and Carrà.

Stop freezing with mulled wine

However dry it may be, in the long run the winter cold of Trento makes itself felt in the bones. It may be for this reason that, especially in the period in which the city is invaded by the famous Christmas market, the corners where you can taste the traditional mulled wine are not rare. A characteristic wine poured to passers-by to give them a pleasant sensation of warmth and refreshment.
At the table dominates a robust and tasty cuisine. A kitchen where traditional dumplings are almost never missing, bread balls served with broth or with speck, butter and cheeses. For the latter, the lion's share is made up of game. Mulled wine aside, in Trento there is great quality nectar of the gods: Merlot, Pinot and Muller-Thurgau above all.
