Womad Rome – Il Festival del Mondo is scheduled for 9 to 11 June at Villa Ada. For the first time the Capital is hosting the most important festival of “World Music” and new trends, founded by the great musician Peter Gabriel. The purpose of the event is to promote art, talent and interculturality against all forms of discrimination and racism through the universal language of music.

The preview in the "Ennio Morricone" auditorium is scheduled for 7 June with Carmen Consoli and Mariza. From 9 to 11 June at Womad village of Villa Ada you can attend concerts with artists from all over the world, workshops for adults and children, music and art workshops, food and wine and much more. The festival will be an extraordinary opportunity for fun, meeting and reflection on environmental protection, the richness of diversity, the contamination between cultures for peace. From 9 to 11 June, therefore, Womad meets Rome, the Eternal City universal and open.

“We want to give a very strong boost to the DNA of this city which is a city of welcome, integration and sustainability. We want to invest in aggregation, culture, art and entertainment”. Thus Alessandro Onorato, councilor of the Municipality of Rome for Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion who adds:“I'm sure it will be a magical edition because Villa Ada is a magical place. The value of an initiative like this is great which uses music and art which leads us to welcome many targets and conveys a message peace, inclusion and environmental sustainability. We are super excited to host an event like this and are sure this summer's lineup will beat 2022's numbers.”
