News in the aftermath of controversy after Vicenza-Lecce. This time the communiqué from the red and white patron, Stefano Rosso, arrived.
These are his words: "Regarding the LR Vicenza-Lecce race, I can only point out that in the last three days the tones have risen excessively, with controversies and theories of all kinds. Personally, I have great esteem for President Sticchi Damiani and the Lecce Sports Union, an organized company that in recent years, with his guidance, has had the merit of achieving important goals. However, I do not believe that the statements made in recent days by a member of its management are correct. They are defamatory and I see neither the reason nor the purpose, if not perhaps to exploit public opinion and institutions. However, I would like to definitively close this sterile controversy with a constructive spirit, asking everyone to focus their attention on next Friday's fundamental matches. We both play important goals and it is equally important to be able to do it with our fans in tow.
I therefore wish US Lecce to achieve the set goal".
