Lego fans know very well how excellent reproductions of historical monuments can be admired around the world. To the extensive list it is now possible to add the Trevi Fountain, made entirely of Lego with the help of ben 20 thousand bricks.

Inaugurated in 1762, the Trevi Fountain is the largest and most famous in Rome, as well as one of the most famous fountains in Italy and in the world. It has been attracting the attention of artists and tourists for centuries and in the course of 2021 Maurice Lampis has decided to take on the challenge of creating the entire fountain using only Lego bricks.
A job that took 5 months and is not the first of its kind. In the past, in 2019, he had in fact built the Basilica of Bonaria in Cagliari, one of the symbols of Sardinia. The author is also president of the Karalisbrick cultural association and founder of the Karalisbrick Brick Museum in Sestu.
With attention to every detail, to the point of adding tourists to admire it, the Trevi Fountain in Lego is 75 cm wide, 50 cm deep and 70 cm high. Lampis explained that he had used photographs obtained thanks to the web, studying them carefully in order to obtain a result that was as realistic as possible.
The artist explained how since 2017 the world of Lego bricks has become his work: "Having built it also makes me proud because it is a project entirely mine, the result of years of study ". To admire it, you can go to the Karalisbrick Brick Museum, where it was initially exhibited, to then be the protagonist of a tour to Sardinia, together with the brick Colosseum of Rome.
