The FAI summer evenings on Lake Como have already begun in June and will continue until next September. A rich calendar of appointments among the goods of the FAI (Italian Environment Fund ETS) from north to south Italy which will exceptionally remain open beyond the usual opening hours. The aim is to offer the public the possibility of continuing the visit after sunset, taking part in special initiatives and stopping to enjoy the evocative atmosphere of summer evenings in unique places.

After the initiatives already implemented at Villa del Balbianello, the spotlights will turn on Villa Fogazzaro Roi in Oria, Valsolda, where on 14, 21 and 28 July it will be possible to take part in a candlelit visit and a picnic in the garden. The guided tour to discover this splendid residence of the nineteenth-century bourgeoisie overlooking the Italian shore of Lake Lugano will be mainly literary in nature and will be enriched by the reading of passages from the novel Piccolo Mondo Antico and an insight into the figure of the author Antonio Fogazzaro. In fact, the writer loved this villa so much where he spent long periods. At the end of the visit you can stop inside Franco's garden for a suggestive picnic.
On Friday 4, 11 and 18 August, visitors will instead have the unique opportunity to enjoy an aperitif at sunset set up inside the roof garden of the villa, a favorite place of the writer Antonio Fogazzaro for contemplation and poetic inspiration. They will also be able to enjoy the magical atmosphere of the lake, among the candor of potted flowers and ancient cultivated plants. During the evening it will be possible to visit the interior of the house and to attend the reading of some excerpts from the novel Small ancient world. The initiative enjoys the patronage of the Municipality of Valsolda.
