A human chain along a 50 mile route. An extraordinary event to transform the meter and a half that separated us during the pandemic into a meter and a half of union and solidarity. Next June 4th 40.000 Guests they will be joined with 40.000 strips of mesh 1 meters long. They will be arranged next to each other along the path of approx 80 kilometers to unite Bergamo and Brescia, capitals of culture Italian 2023.
The human chain
To participate in the initiative "50 Miles” a registration fee starting from 3 euros is required, thanks to which you will receive the one and a half meter long jersey strip as a gift which you can keep as a souvenir of the event. All the strips were made by thousands of people who donated them for the solidarity event. The proceeds of the initiative will be donated to centers that look after young people with problems related to the post-Covid period.
50 Miglia will take place on Sunday 4 June 2023 at 11 in the chosen location and place. The human chain will last approximately 10 minutes, at the end of which the day will continue with many other events organized in the locations along the route. You can choose the place where you want to participate and the place among the proposed segments. You can register with one or more people. Appointment, therefore, on Sunday 4 June at 9:30 in the chosen location and with the reference numbered meeting point. Here you will receive the knitted strip and you will become part of the human chain that will unite two cities and will offer concrete solidarity for those experiencing the physical and psychological consequences of the pandemic from COVID-19.
