He played skiing, ice hockey, golf, American football and soccer.

In between trips he answered a few questions to let us know more about his life story.

Gabriele, can you tell us how your career began?
What drove me from the beginning was the strong desire to have my own company.

What were the biggest challenges you had to face in your entrepreneurial career and how did you overcome them?
In my career, the biggest challenge was funding and bidding on various projects, with the hope of earning money to support my business and family. We have been able to overcome many difficulties mainly thanks to the awarding of public projects.

Have you ever faced obstacles or discrimination due to your origin or background? If yes, how did you face and overcome them?
No, it's never been a problem.

Can you talk about your role as a member of the Free and Accepted Freemasons and the impact this experience has had on your life?
It has made me a better person and I have had the honor of meeting wonderful people from all over the world.

He has dedicated a lot of time to his community and has received many awards. Can you share some with us? What does serving others mean to you?
I was awarded Businessman of the Year in my community and was Master Mason of the Year. I have served as President Wardens & Decans in New York and former Master of two Lodges. It gives me great satisfaction to serve others, raise money for charities, collect children's toys during Christmas, and spend my free time for good causes.

He has a great passion for many sports. What sport do you play now?
I like to play golf from time to time.

Since he retired, you and your wife have traveled extensively. Can you share with us some of your memories of your motorhome trips?
We enjoyed touring Maine as well as traveling up and down the East Coast visiting historic towns in Massachusetts, Virginia, North & South Carolina, Georgia & Florida. Our most memorable trip was the long weekend we spent in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania where the bloodiest battle in American history took place.

What are your plans for the future and how do you imagine spending your time in the next few years?
By selling all our assets; traveling in our motorhome and visiting the beautiful national parks in the USA.

Does meritocracy still exist?
No. There is too much corruption and inexperienced people that are dragging the US down and down.

Thank you Gabriele for this interview.
