To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the birth of the great songwriter and musician Lucio Dalla, the city of Sorrento has organized a busy program of events for the second edition of I Colori di Lucio. Already from the month of April and for several more days, the coastal town is the ideal stage for concerts, canoe tours, diving, football tournaments, excursions, astral observations, appointments at the cinema. And, again, art installations, book presentations, solidarity events, including a charity lottery for local entities. Initiatives all dedicated to the great Bolognese artist.
Sorrento lights up the colors of Lucio
Also for the 2023 edition de The colors of LucioDalla's passions are at the center of the amarcord, each one represented by a colour. Starting from red for music, yellow for art, pink for literature, blue for cinema and theatre, blue for the environment and the sea, green for sport and orange for solidarity. The purpose of the Sorrento review is to exalt the soul and heart of Lucio: "Heart and soul”, therefore, just like the last Neapolitan song sung by Dalla a Sanremo in 2012 and set to music by the illustrious Sorrentine Salve D'Esposito.
Nemesis Association
Thanks to the patronage of Dalla Foundation, the exhibition is part of the national initiatives of “Lucius Eighty”. The event is conceived by the Nemesi association and promoted by the City of Sorrento, in collaboration with the Sorrento Foundation and with the participation of the other Municipalities of the Sorrento peninsula. You can enjoy walking through culture and tradition. “Lucio's places” is a format of slow walks that aims to revive the bond between Lucio Dalla and Sorrento while enhancing the traditions of the area. We will not forget about environmental protection, in fact we will hunt for platinum thanks to an initiative that will see the participation of Meta Youth Forum, Italian Naval League, Big Wave, Marevivo section of the Sorrento peninsula, Progetto Terra association. The plastic hunt will take place both at sea and on the coast. This activity will be completed by a Citizen Science initiative for the monitoring and classification of beached waste and by a meeting with expert naturalists with the primary aim of making the community aware of the treasures of the magnificent sea overlooked by the splendid Sorrento.
