“We have given the Civil Protection department the availability of volunteer cooks from nine Italian regions and ready to leave immediately for Emilia Romagna. Our Veneto team has been activated, led by Stefano Zanatta, who will travel to the flooded areas with the regional mobile column of civil protection of Verona to Riolo Terme. Thus Roberto Rosati, president of the department. “All of our support and that of the partner companies goes to them Federcuochi. Realities that made themselves immediately available to give us the foodstuffs needed to prepare hot meals for the thousands of displaced people from disaster-affected areas. A specialized team for food intolerances and allergies is also on the field – Rosati reiterated – because even in emergency situations, attention to health is always our priority”.
The numbers of the disaster are a real war bulletin. About one hundred Municipalities involved, triple compared to the 2012 earthquake; over 36 people forced to leave their homes and find accommodation either with friends and relatives or in reception centres. There are around 500 roads closed, while 305 landslides have been registered. The Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni left Hiroshima early, where the G7 is still underway, to return to Italy early and organize the work of the meeting of the council of ministers. The government is expected to meet on Tuesday to take stock of the emergency situation that has arisen in the flooded areas and decide on the first and most important interventions.
