The San Carlo Theater of Napoli brings the stage to all homes, 24 hours a day, every day. The initiative, created to entertain the public in this period of pandemic, is the result of the partnership with SudComunicazioni, which made the spaces of the newly created “c'e tv” available to the San Carlo. This is the first cultural web tv of Naples and Campania, whose schedule is completely dedicated to the theater, which will manage the contents with the direction.
Just tune into the web tv
To not miss this opportunity, just tune in from your "Smart" TV to the web TV (www.cetv-online.it). Here, throughout the day, complete works, shows, ballets and innovative web columns will be broadcast. Access to the web TV is also allowed via tablets, smartphones and PCs. Furthermore, the theatrical activities can be followed through the social accounts of the Theater (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).
The hashtag #stageathome "to stay home together"
With this initiative, the Teatro di San Carlo will make the precious archival video material available, broadcasting some of the shows of past seasons. The main purposes are to keep the relationship with the public alive, waiting for it to soon return to normality, and to offer an ever greater diffusion of opera in all segments of the population. For this reason, the San Carlo has launched the hashtag #stageathome. In this regard, the website reads: “In these very special days that we are called to spend at home, we at the Teatro di San Carlo want to continue, in our own way, to keep you company. Not being able - at least for now - to meet at our home, in the theater, we give you an appointment, through our social networks, on the web to stay at home, yes, but always all together ".
A varied offer
The offer is varied. In addition to the shows, the Theater also makes historical insights, backstage, interviews and curiosities available to the public, which can also be accessed through links to shared platforms such as RaiPlay, YouTube and Opera Vision. There are several scheduled appointments. Among these, there is no shortage of Educational activities, scheduled every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, at 15 pm. This is the project #myelisirathome. It consists of a series of alternative educational contents to bring children closer to the world of opera, created in collaboration with Europa InCanto and presented by the Maestro Germanus Neri. Another appointment not to be missed is that of Saturday evening, at 20.00, with Carlo Stéphane Lissner, Superintendent of San Carlo, who converses with the protagonists of the world of opera.
The next events in streaming
Near the Christmas holidays, the Teatro di San Carlo has drawn up a rich program of events not to be missed. In fact, the December calendar includes the following events: Mozart Belcanto Gala (from 10 to 13), Christmas Concert (from 25 to 2 January), The four Seasons (31st), String quartet of the Teatro di San Carlo (31st). In short, there really is something for everyone. All that remains is to tune in and enjoy all the best that the oldest Opera House in the world has to offer. A unique opportunity for cultural enrichment.
