It is no mystery that the songwriter Sting has chosen Italy as his second home. For years he has had a beautiful house in Tuscany, produces wine, honey and extra virgin olive oil and has also recently opened a pizzeria on his estate, Il Palagio. What few people know, however, is his love for the Amalfi Coast and Positana.

Sting fascinated by Li Galli

The former leader of the Police and voice of big hits like "Roxanne" has in fact granted himself a short vacation between Positano, Capri and the Amalfi Coast. Even on the island Li Galli he performed in front of a small audience guests of a club. A short live concert with two other musicians where he performed “Englishman in New York”. Li Galli is an archipelago of the town of Positano made up of three islands: Gallo Lungo, La Rotonda and Dei Briganti north of the Rotonda.

The Amalfi Coast is in effect an extraordinary stretch of sea with bays, coves and small picturesque villages. Li Galli it is a small jewel that gives further value to the charm of the landscape. There are many inevitable stops such as the one in Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano and Ravello, all characterized by natural spectacles to see and admire.

Love for Tuscany

As said, for years now, Sting is very close to Italy. The singer-songwriter has an estate in Chianti and just a few weeks ago he also opened a pizzeria inside. This was announced by the same artist who published a series of shots on his Instagram account. "Come and join the gang at Il Palagio pizzeria wine bar, here you can enjoy a fabulous pizza, taste all our wines and some Tuscan artisan beers", the caption chosen to formalize the opening of the pizzeria.

The artist himself showed all his attachment to our country by creating, together with his wife Trudie Styler, a foundation in support of Italian restaurateurs and the hospitality sector, the "Every Breath Foundation"(EBF). The name is inspired by the popular Police single, "Every Breath You Take". The foundation was announced at the end of the Win Race 2021 cycling race. The race reserved for 20 elite cyclists took place between San Marino and the historic Tuscan estate Il Palagio in Figline.

“This race is to celebrate our new union with San Marino and to launch an awareness campaign for our new Italian non-profit, the Every Breath Foundation. EBF will support the hospitality industry - bars, clubs and restaurants - which struggled to keep their doors open during the pandemic ", these are the words of Sting.
