Snowshoeing on Monte Baldo, an opportunity to be seized for mountain lovers. In fact, until mid-March 2023 it will be possible to walk on the snow in complete safety relying on the masters of the Ski School Monte Baldo. The mountain group is located in the Garda Prealps and is wedged between the provinces of Trento and Verona and reaches 2218 meters. On the calendar are the appointments of 20 January, 24 February and 10 March for medium-easy excursions for everyone, always with the invaluable guidance of the instructors of the school of ski. It starts from the bottom center San Giacomo on the Brentonico plateau. For lovers of snow and high peaks, it will truly be an extraordinary opportunity to discover enchanting places and also to get to know the slopes better.
Mount Baldo
Monte Baldo is also called the garden of Europe for its great floristic heritage. Thanks to its morphological characteristics, in fact, it has various climatic zones, in particular there are the Mediterranean belt (up to 700 m), the mountain belt (from 700 m to 1 m), the boreal belt (from 500 m to 1 500 m) and the Alpine belt (from 2 m). Each of these bands has a different vegetation due to the climatic differentiation.
In the lower Mediterranean belt there are above all tall trees such as holm oaks, hop hornbeams, manna ash and downy oaks. The cultivation of the olive tree is also widespread, especially on the banks of the Lake Garda, while a little further up you can find chestnut, oat and forage plantations. Furthermore, many species with low stems or without stems live in this band, such as theorchid, the caper, the rosemary, the privet, the lantana, the ilatro. the laurel, theJudas tree, the red soapwort, the ash tree, the primrose, the angel flower, the red valerian, the smoker and the hackberry.
