The village of Dozza is a medieval jewel hidden in the heart of Emilia Romagna, just a few kilometers from Bologna. Built in the Middle Ages, the fortress was subsequently renovated by Catherine Sforza. In its basement you can visit theRegional wine shop of Emilia Romagna, which features over 800 wine labels chosen to best represent the region's wine production. Dozza is in fact surrounded by vineyards that produce some of the best wines in the region, in particular the famous Sangiovese. Numerous wineries offer tastings and guided tours to introduce visitors to the wine production process and to allow them to taste the best wines of the area.

The Painted Wall Biennial

Every two years, Dozza becomes the headquarters of Biennale del Muro Dipinto. The event, one of a kind, transforms the streets of the village into a huge open-air art gallery. During the event, which attracts many visitors, various street artists leave their work on the walls of houses. The works of art tell stories and traditions of the place.
