Sampdoria has already suffered a 2-point penalty for the next Serie B championship, but has averted the risk of further penalty points for the non-payment of the salaries of the members on the May 30 deadline. In fact, the company demonstrated that on that date the amount was already available, even if the transfers had not materially been made in good time. Hence the filing of the case. Samp will therefore start its championship only with a -2 for the personal income tax issue.

Furthermore, yesterday the Sampdoria club filed the debt restructuring plan with the Court in Genoa (the Revenue Agency is also among the creditors). According to reports from tmw, Andrea Radrizzani, one of the two majority shareholders, paid 14 million into the capital account for the payment of salaries for December 2022 and June (the deadline yesterday), as per the agreement signed then with the team. The judge's order, which concluded the hearing of witnesses, is expected by the end of the week.
