Direct connection between the Romagna Riviera, Vienna and Monaco thanks to Nightjet. Good news for Austrian and German tourists who, as early as next summer, will be able to travel by train even at night to reach the Romagna coast.
The Romagna Riviera closest to Austria and Germany
The new train sections, commissioned by Österreichische Bundesbahnen in collaboration with Trenitalia, will be active from 10 June to 9 September 2023. It starts from Vienna and Munich (at 19.18 and 20.09), to get to Rimini, Riccione and Catholic early in the morning, with tickets starting from 28,80 euros. With this new section, the direct connections between Austria, Germany and the Riviera rise to a total of three, in addition to the daily daily Munich-Rimini, with a stop in Cesena.
“The signals from the German-speaking markets for the upcoming summer season are very encouraging and with Apt Emilia-Romagna and Visit Romagna we are working to maximize promotional activities. The collaboration with the German and Austrian railways, which has already started some time ago, will be optimized to promote the new 2023 connections". Thus the regional councilor for Tourism Andrea Corsini, who reiterated that the new television promotional campaign of the Riviera in Germany starts right in these first days of January.
Furthermore, in the coming months theEmilia-Romagna will be present at the Cmt Stuttgart, Free Monaco and Ib Berlin trade fairs with the tour operators of tourist destinations. Tickets can already be purchased on the Öbb website dedicated to the Nightjet night line: https://www.nightjet.com. Instead, on the Deutsche Bahn website you can already book the direct Munich-Rimini train, always daily, departing in the morning at 9.34 and arriving at Rimini at 17.33.
