Who wouldn't want a "village of happiness"A stone's throw from home? The name already conveys so much happiness and serenity. In Puglia, exactly in the Torre a Mare district of Bari this village is being born which certainly has a lot of material inside, to make those who visit it happy.
A Village of happiness. At a time when smiles would be needed, and how, especially for the little ones. The association "ideas of contagious happiness" has set up this village on an area of about 200 square meters. All designed for the children and for families. In fact, inside the village will have not only a nursery, but also places of interest for the whole family. Within the association born in Bari exactly 9 years ago, in 2013, there are professionals: from pedagogists to psychiatrists, from nutritionists to psychologists.
The idea of the "Village of Happiness": word to the President
A "the Republica ", the President of the association, Scarlett Mesto has explained: "we had the same need to be together and to confront each other. When you are a mother you need a network around you, people who live in the same moment as you ”. In the past, the association created corsi not only for the figure of parents (such as preparation courses with midwives, on breastfeeding, on parenting, on family relationships), but also on the figure of "couple". In fact, among others, there were courses on support in separation, on the importance of the couple relationship.
"For the village of happiness, we have thought of something bigger"- explained the president-"We are inspired by an African motto: it says that it takes an entire village to raise a child. Before, there was the grandmother, the aunt, the neighbor to help, because no one had to feel alone. That child belonged to the whole community and the neighborhood, because he is above all a resource. When a baby is born in the city, our future is born, everyone is interestedi ".
How the village will be organized
The land had been purchased in time and, after the bureaucratic process, the construction of the village of happiness started last week. It is a structure surrounded by nature entirely built in engineered wood. The password is environmental sustainability.
In all, there are four classrooms to be dedicated to nursery school. Up to 30 children can be accommodated on the ground and first floors. There will be commercial activities and a bar open throughout the afternoon.
Tablets or new technology devices will be "forbidden", rather you will breathe pure air and you will be immersed in nature. At the same time, they will be organized corsi for both adults and children: yoga, pilates, creative and artistic workshops, comparison and training meetings such as those that the association had already organized in the past, playful moments, birthday parties.
The work will cost around 400 euros and the association will be supported in part by the Urbis call from the Municipality and in part by a fundraising campaign that has already started. The detailed information to participate has all been entered on the site contagious ideas.org.
