The Porto dei Piccoli has set sail from Genoa. A truly special vessel, full of love and desire to do. But above all to share all the love and serenity of the sea with children who find themselves in difficult conditions in Malta. The sea is in fact the element that characterizes Il Porto dei Piccoli. Genoese non-profit organization that in almost eleven years of activity is committed to giving fun and entertainment to all children. Who live the experience of the disease, through workshops, games and a thousand other initiatives inspired by the marine world and specifically designed to meet their needs.
To share the experience gained at the Ist. G. Gaslini of Genoa and the other pediatricians where the association is present, the "crew" of the Port of the little ones has set sail for Malta. Symbolically disembarking from a tugboat and participating on November 20 in the celebrations of the World Children's Rights Day. Representing Italy and in the presence of the President of Malta Marie Louise Coleiro Preca and Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.

In fact, in recent months, Porto dei Bambini has started an important collaboration with the pediatric department of Mater Dei Hospital. Giving all the children hosted at the pediatric wards of oncology, Disneyland, Fairyland and Wonderland, a very funny representation. The theatrical show "Giorgino and the submarine ambulatory". An engaging underwater adventure to communicate a positive message of hope in the fight against disease.
The Association then made a stop at the Salesian oratory of St. Patrick in Sliema. Bringing a wave of joy and fun to the children of the Italian community. To then reach the children with disabilities followed by the Id-dar Tal Providenza Institute.
The journey to Malta of the Porto dei Bambini, undertaken with the aim of networking with more and more realities and sharing experiences and skills with the main pediatric centers, will end on Wednesday 23 November. The boys of the Association will bring with them all the joy and beauty of the smile of the children they meet, with the awareness that through the journey and the meeting with new people you can always discover a little more about ourselves.
