The Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti signed the decree which, starting from January 1, 2023, provides for an increase of 7,3 per cent in citizens' pensions. As specified in a press release from the ministry, the increase, as required by current legislation, was calculated on the basis of the change in consumer prices according to recent Istat data.

It should be remembered that part of the adjustment, for pensions up to € 2692,32 per month, has already been anticipated since the month of October to the extent of 2 per cent. For the application details, however, it is necessary to wait for the publication of the decree in Official Gazette and subsequent instructions INPS. In essence, it should be an additional 38 euros per month for minimum pensions; 75 euros more for pensions of one thousand euros. The increase is 100 euros for the 2000-euro pensions; while an increase of € 111 is reached for those of € 2500 gross. Finally, those who receive a gross pension of 4000 euros will find themselves in their pocket 150 euros more.
