Oscar 2017: the Bel Paese wins thanks to the Oscar for best makeup and hair
The 2017 Oscar has gone too. Fuocoammare by Gianfranco Rosi did not make it. But it was not a disappointment for our country.
Oscar 2017 for the best make-up and hair to two Italians: Bertolazzi and Gregorini
Alessandro Bertolazzi, a native of Vercelli, is the artistic make-up that, together with his Italian colleague, Giorgio Gregorini, won the 2017 Academy Award for best make-up and hair. The two Italians, together with Christopher Allen Nelson, presented Italy their statuette of 2017, for the Best Make-up and Hairstyling for the work done in the film 'Suicide Squad', written and directed by David Ayer.
Bertolazzi thus triumphs once again in Hollywood demonstrating that the strength and value of our Italian workers is not just a legacy of the past.
In recent days Bertolazzi was also awarded at the Guild Awards and at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. He is an Italian who has recently worked in the United States and is proud to represent our country. He has decided to dedicate the 2017 Academy Award to all immigrants.
Fuocoammare is not a disappointment for Italy nominated for the 2017 Oscar
Gianfranco Rosi's Italian documentary didn't make it. Even this year in fact Fuocoammare it was the only non-American title. He collided with very important titles, both in terms of content and economic investment in the so-called 2017 Oscar campaign.
For Gianfranco Rosi, therefore, already being in the five was an extraordinary result. He actually accomplished the feat bringing Lampedusa and her cry of pain to five, more than fifty years after the only other Italian documentary to have gone so far The great Olympiad, directed by Romolo Marcellini in 1962.
Oscar 2017: Moonlight triumphs with a double twist
The long-awaited evening of the year ended with great surprises. The last minute of the evening changed everything. The La La Land cast was already on stage for the final triumph. The thank-you speech had also already begun. Too bad that, due to an incorrect envelope, the winner was Moonlight.
La La Land must thus give way to Barry Jenkins and his team, who withdraw the Academy Award moved, while Warren Beatty apologizes for the gaffe of the year. The final twist, even if in bad taste, gives a shake to an 89th edition which, for the rest, goes exactly as predicted.
Finally, Emma Stone still wins the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role for La La Land.
