The Sardinian landscape breaks through the hearts of Americans

Once again Sardinia excels in the world. Nuraghes is the last made in Italy short film which, long awaited, has already involved Italians. And found appreciation in the homeland of cinema.
The Italian island continues to be one of the most popular places and best suited to the cinematographic scenario. This time it is she who is the protagonist, Sardinia, which with its panoramas gives the human imagination multiple inspirations.
Nuraghes is a story set in the Bronze Age. Where humans and divinities face each other, revealing human nuances.
Not everything you see is part of the fantasy world. The inspiration of the story comes from the legends that take their cue from ancient Sardinian traditions. In fact, it is no coincidence that Sardinia is always covered in charm. A land that between the sea and the Barbagia serves as a treasure trove of ancient and spectacular human truths.

The mini-film by Mauro Aragoni

The film opens onto the Sardinian landscape, letting the intricacies of Arduè's history melt away. A strong-looking man but with a deep sensitivity. He refuses to perform what is an obligatory rite of passage for the company. The ceremony of the geronticide that would have foreseen the life of the father to be extinguished by Arduè, as the firstborn. Pushing the parent into the sacred precipice was believed to be a way to genetically transfer the energy from an aging father to his son.
Given the bitterness of the gesture, Arduè refuses, thus becoming a fugitive pursued for having violated the divine laws of his land and nature.
But the young man's sensitivity is not only denoted by his rebellion against a gesture as violent as it is considered sacred, but also by his way of dealing with his friends and family. A strong emotional contrast is created and the eternal struggle between hatred and love which in its circumstances is forced to experience a deep sense of dualism.
The long-awaited film was screened this January 2017 also in Italian cinemas, in Sardinia, enjoying a number of success!
