One is scheduled for March 23 and 24 national transport strike, involving the engine and on-board staff of the State Railways. The protest, organized by the FS Group and Trenord, could cause delays and cancellations on trains.

The strike, from 21pm on Saturday March 23 to midnight Sunday March 24, follows those that already occurred on 8 and 13 March. Travelers, especially commuters, could be affected by the inconveniences.

The changes to the service will mainly concern i regional trains, while no changes are foreseen for high speed and intercity. However, it is possible that there will also be variations before and after the strike. Some trains will be guaranteed and available on the Trenitalia website.

Unions denounce exhausting shifts, with workers forced to work up to 11-12 hours a day with a single day of rest of just seven hours. Trainmasters and train drivers firmly support theirs protest, hoping for broad participation.
