Un musical with the songs of Lucio Dalla to remember the 80 years by the great Bolognese artist, who died in 2012 a Montreux (Swiss). This project, although it has already been announced, will only see the light in 2023 and will be sponsored by Lucio Dalla Foundation. Its producers will be Sergio De Angelis e Fabio Massimo Colasanti, who will also be the artistic director of the show. The two authors are already known to the general public for having created "Musicians". This is the famous traveling musical with the great's songs Pino Daniele, staged on stages throughout Italy between 2018 e 2020. The show on Lucio Dalla will also see the collaboration of Daniel Caracchi, president of the label Pressing Line (founded by Lucio Dalla in 2001 from the ashes of the old Pressing). On the other hand, the original subject and screenplay will be curated Alessandra DellaGuardia e Urban Lyon.
At the moment it is not yet clear what the title or who will the protagonists of this highly anticipated musical with the songs of Lucio Dalla. The castings are in fact scheduled for the first months of the coming year. Also there plot is still uncertain. The show should retrace the life and career of the Emilian artist, but everything seems to be still on standby. The only sure thing is that the show is expected to debut at Bologna, hometown of Lucio, and then move to other cities in Italy.
Not just musicals with the songs of Lucio Dalla: films and traveling exhibition
It has now been almost 10 years since disappearance of Lucio Dalla and the void left, on an artistic and human level, is unbridgeable for many. Il 4 March 2022 there is also one exhibition in Bologna, entitled "Lucio Dalla. Even if time passes". Organized by the Lucio Dalla Foundation, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the artist's death and 80th birthday, it is a biennial exhibition (2022-2023) which will start from the Emilian capital and then cross all of Italy, to celebrate the unforgettable Lucio. Special mention also goes to film about Lucio Dalla, Directed by Cesare Cremonini, announced last June, but still in the pipeline (with date to be determined). The above are just a few examples of events dedicated to Lucio Dalla, which will take place starting in the next few months.
