Una strong earthquake shock it was felt in an area of ​​the Emilian Apennines shortly after 13pm. The epicenter was recorded just 5 kilometers away, causing sensations even in neighboring areas as far as Liguria and Lombardy. The magnitude, certified by INGV, was 4.1 and the telluric movement was distinctly perceived, including in the lower levels of the buildings.

Earthquake of magnitude 4.1

A strong seismic shock was felt in the province of Parma shortly after lunchtime, with the epicenter located just 5 kilometers from Caledon, near the Emilian Apennines.

Certified by INGV, the magnitude of the earthquake reached value of 4.1, spreading sensations even in the neighboring provinces as far as Liguria and Lombardy. In Parma, the telluric movement was clearly perceived, even on the lower floors of the buildings.

In the municipalities of Felino Marzolara and Calestano, residents went out into the streets for a few minutes, following yet another tremor in one seismic sequence underway for two days, with around a hundred events recorded.

Two further earthquakes of magnitude 3.4 and 3.2 affected the area during the night, with epicenters respectively 6 kilometers from Langhirano and 5 kilometers from Calestano, the latter coinciding with the epicenter of the midday shock. Fortunately, no damage to people or property was reported.

From midnight, there are approximately one twenty seismic tremors in the area, including another of magnitude 3.4 that occurred shortly after midnight.
