Italian jazz 4 peace, a day of music for peace in Ukraine. With this aim, the Italian jazz musicians have organized a solidarity initiative in favor of Ukrainian people, victim of war. For today, Sunday 13 March 2022, a day of online and live music has been designed to raise funds to be donated to refugees from the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. From 9 to 21 the performances will be streamed on the Facebook page of Midj, Association of Italian Jazz Musicians. From 18pm to 23pm the performances will be live in all Italian regions. The event is organized by Midj in collaboration with Unchr Italia, the UN agency for refugees.

"We want to raise funds to help all populations affected by war, doing the thing we know best: play! ”. This is the intention of the promoters of the event who reiterate: “Music unites peoples, cultures, people. Jazz has always been meeting and exchange, an impromptu artistic expression that reflects the reality of the moment ". In recent days, the creators of the musical event had invited all the musicians, sensitive to this solidarity cause, to send a video of one of their performances. Today, all the videos received will be broadcast non-stop from 9 to 21 on the Midj Facebook page.
A jam session in each region
From 18.00 all the participating musicians will be able to reach the places of the jam session that the Midj regional coordinators will have organized in each region. The purpose is to raise funds through the site https://dona.unchr.it//campagna/emergenza-ucraina-midj/.
