Hope, Lucca Comics & Games 2022. From October 28th to November XNUMXst the most anticipated community event of the year returns for comics fans, cosplay, videogames, fantasy fiction, animated cinema and much more. The theme of this year's edition is hope, in fact the event is titled “Hope”. Once again it is the center of Lucca to host the event which aims to be an opportunity to restart and explore new worlds of comic art and video game.

Also on the program "The First Hope Exhibitions", a journey between past and future for several generations. Another highly anticipated event that is part of the 50th anniversary of the manga "The Roses of Versailles" should also be noted on the agenda. It is, in fact, the national gathering of Lady Oscar which will have as ideal "godmothers" the cosplayers Lady Kurimi and Letizia Cosplay. Among the guests Tim Burton who will present the series on the little girl of the Addams family, played by Jenna Ortega, Hiroshi Kato and Lee Bermejo.
Among the Italian guests Francesca Michielin, Cristina D'Avena, Milo Manara, Zerocalcare. During the event, Sergio Bonelli Editore and Rai will present the first five episodes of the animated series Dragonero, based on the comic by Luca Enoch and Stefano Vietti, as a world premiere in Lucca. The animated production that involved thousands of people will be illustrated as well as seeing very particular installations in different places in the city. During the festival the 60th anniversary of the birth of Spider-Man will be celebrated, with an exceptional star: John Romita Jr.
The reviews
Among the reviews there are 'Ted Nasmith - The Nature of Myth'dedicated to the Canadian Ted Nasmith, one of the greatest exponents of fantasy art; 'Chris Riddell - Sketches, Doodles and Wonders' to celebrate the career of the children's author and cartoonist. 'Mirka Andolfo - Paper heroines'starring Mirka Andolfo is the new star of Italian comics; 'atsushi ohkubo - Anima di fuoco 'which will illustrate, through a rich selection of original plates of his most famous works, the incredible work of world building that has made this mangaka famous. Also visible 'Alex Randolph, game director', to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Alex Randolph. And, again, Giacomo Nanni, another look at the world ', dedicated to the Italian cartoonist of Atto di Dio and Graphic Novel Theater.
'Comics in flesh and blood' tells the short but already significant history of the Graphic novel theater, ending with a preview of the new show, dedicated to Celestia by Manuele Fior. A series of exhibitions will also open on October 28th which embraces all the souls of the festival and which will lead visitors to explore new visual universes. Among these the Church of San Cristoforo will host 'Pop Salani - 160 years of books, culture and imagination'. While the Palazzo delle Esposizioni will open its doors to the world of 'Manga: Love & Other Stories'. Finally, the Church of the Servants will keep the tables of 'Corrado Roi: Diabolik, who are you?
