Do it in the elegant Pordenone, which offers a very pleasant historic center. Rich in sixteenth-century palaces, Romanesque churches, frescoed facades, Gothic and Baroque buildings. You can admire the works of the greatest Friulian Renaissance painter, Antonio de Sacchis called the Pordenone.

Walking along Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Corso Garibaldi, you will be able to admire the Palazzo Comunale.

Gothic in style, made of brick, it was erected between 1291 and 1395. Opened below by a portico with loggias, it is preceded by a tower forepart surmounted by an astronomical-lunar clock built after 1542 by the Rainieri brothers of Reggio.

At the top of the tower, two stone statues, popularly called the "Moors" to refer to those of Piazza San Marco in Venice, but in reality representing two pages carrying the symbols of Austria at the feudal time, are placed at the top and beat the hours.

Friuli: from raw ham to trout

San Daniele del Friuli is the kingdom of raw ham. Pork born and raised only in ten regions of central-northern Italy; sea salt, no additives or preservatives, seasoning carried out exclusively on site. The result is the fruit of a skill matured and handed down over the centuries.

One of the artisanal ham factories in Friuli is the Magician, where it is possible to take guided tours and tastings. In this place the microclimate is fundamental, since the cool currents of the Alps and the humid ones of the Adriatic meet, which together with the morainic nature of the soil favor optimal maturation.

From meat to fish, always in the name of gluttony and high quality. To dominate the scene, next to the raw ham, there is the trout. The Region, thanks to its 2500 kilometers of perennial and very pure fresh water, is the first in Italy for the breeding of rainbow trout, with which it covers 40% of national production.
