The Meloni government struggling with the expensive bills and the most pressing social problems that characterize this difficult and complex historical phase of our country. The price of gas is falling, also due to the European Union taking charge of this matter. This has led to speculation going down, but it won't last long. From January we expect up to two billion cubic meters of gas at controlled prices, which should cover a large part of our needs. We wanted to approve another measure concerning the energy issue, free some Italian gas extractions, favoring and expanding existing concessions or new concessions.
By asking the concessionaires to make available in exchange, immediately, from January, between 1 billion and 2 billion cubic meters of gas to be allocated to energy-intensive companies at controlled prices. For 2023 we imagine debt at 4,3 per cent which then goes down, so we free up 22 or 23 billion which we also allocate exclusively to expensive energy. The measures adopted on energy are not only on an emergency level, not only on expensive bills, but also to allow this nation to be independent and autonomous ”.
Basic income
Meloni then reiterated: "We are postponing the discussion on citizenship income and other matters, they are in fact matters of Budget law. We were asked to discuss with the social partners, next week we will see the trade unions, it would not be fair to give indications before coordination. In the maneuver they want to give some signals, on the commitments made and on the program, but everything will be done pending the 22 billion. We intend to take away resources on things that didn't work and divert them to others".
