Covid-19 pandemic: in our country the number of positive cases continues to increase. In the last 24 hours in Italy, another 37.809 people have contracted the virus, for a total of 862.861 infected since the pandemic was declared. The increase of swabs it stood at 234.245; the new deaths are 446. The patients admitted to intensive care are 2515; between hospitalized and patients placed in quarantine, the people who test positive for Coronavirus are currently 499.118.
Positive cases are increasing and the government is thinking of new incentives
“In the refreshment decree bis there will be an ad hoc fund to put resources in the event of variations between yellow, orange and red areas. In addition, there is a 60 percent tax credit on rent for October, November and December. The stop of social security contributions for employees and the postponement of payments for those who have the ISA, the synthetic indices of reliability ". This was stated by the president of the council of ministers Giuseppe Conte.
The premier underlines: "We realized that the refreshments put in place were modest and we doubled them, multiplied them. Those who have already received contributions can double them. I give an example: a small restaurant that in the previous lockdown had received 2600 euros fetches 5200. We have multiplied the non-repayable contributions and compared to our resolutions, a couple of weeks is enough for the Inland Revenue to credit the funds on current accounts ".
Minister Speranza: "Let's work together without controversy"
"If we don't bend the curve, the medical staff will not withstand the shock wave. We must not waste time in controversy but we must work together ". Thus the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, who adds: “We have not easy months ahead. But we have the strength to bend the contagion curve again.
The spirit in which we are moving is the exact opposite of a punitive spirit towards the Regions. We know that the measures involve sacrifices but we have no alternatives if we want to overcome this phase. The virus is circulating throughout the country and being in yellow zone it does not mean being in a safe haven. If the number of infected people continues to increase, intensive care and deaths will inevitably increase ".
