As regards the pandemic emergency and the spread of the virus in our country, the contagion curve is always closely monitored. According to data from the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours they have registered 10.585 new positive cases (yesterday 9.116). The new deaths are 267 (yesterday 305). The carried out molecular and antigenic buffers are 327.169 (yesterday 315.506). The discharged healed today are 17.072 (yesterday 18.477); altogether the positive cases are 407.129 (yesterday 413.889). And finally i 2368 patients admitted to intensive care i387.241 still remain in home isolation infected people from the virus.
Vaccines arrive in the smaller islands
The theme of the vaccination campaign was discussed in the meeting with the mayors of the smaller islands. This was announced by the staff of the Covid emergency commissioner: in this context, mass vaccinations will be carried out with the support of the Defense and Civil Protection. The priority criterion is to vaccinate progressively starting from the islands that have greater fragility in terms of epidemiological risk, together with a lack of adequate health facilities.
The meeting with the mayors of the smaller islands “was also an opportunity to reaffirm absolute respect for vaccination priorities. To reiterate the priority for the fragile and over 80 categories, but the campaign continues apace. We plan, in two weeks, to complete the vaccination of the categories most at risk ". Visits from relatives to senior citizens' homes soon resumed
