And that is why, precisely because social activity is severely limited, thanks to modern means it will be possible, too from home, try to maintain the usual daily routine.
WiFi Italia in hospitals, the Mise project
The initiative is part of the one that the Minister for Technological Innovation and Digitization launched in recent days. The “digital solidarity” project, extended to the whole national territory, with the aim of helping people, professionals and companies. Through digital services, to continue their business and maintain their lifestyle habits, while respecting the provisions for containing and combating the spread of Coronavirus.
The project includes the supply and installation up to 5.000 WiFi Access Points in public hospitals of the National Health Service. A real revolution that will make Italian hospitals make a leap forward as regards digital modernization. The basic idea is to allow all citizens to connect, for free and in a simple way, to a free and widespread wifi network throughout the national territory.
WiFi Italia hospitals, how to join the project
Hospitals wishing to join the initiative can send an e-mail to the postal address [email protected]. Indicating the name and contact details of the contact person for the request. The application form must contain the name of the hospital with address, street number and the technical contact person as contact person.
Infratel Italia will contact the technical staff and agree on one visit for the inspection and subsequent installation. Infratel Italia will proceed with the installations giving priority to the date and time of arrival of the request.
The technical partnership
Infratel Italia intends as part of the “Digital Solidarity” initiative support public hospitals through the “Wi-Fi Italia Hospitals” project. Within the “Piazza Italia Wi-Fi” plan, the company, in agreement with the MISE and in collaboration with the technical partner TIM, will proceed with the supply and installation of up to 5.000 Wi-Fi Access Points in public hospitals. The aim of the project is to provide a digital support easy to use and free to all users of hospital facilities. The “Wi-fi Italia Ospedali” program intends to pursue this aim also through the federation of any Wi-Fi networks already present. The installed and federated Access Points will become part of the single “wifi.italia.it” network.
