Clean-up hike, let's clean up Courmayeur. The initiative is in collaboration with the Summit Foundation: the aim is to organize waste collection in the area to raise awareness of respect for the environment. The Clean-up hike thus becomes an opportunity to take care of Courmayeur and to enjoy its spectacular landscape.
We clean Courmayeur
For the cleaning day of the areas most frequented by enthusiasts trekking and hiking, gloves are worn. Equipped with sacks, woods and paths are freed from accumulated waste, often hidden by vegetation. The affected areas will certainly be some areas of the ski area, but not only that, once the snow has collected, they return various waste abandoned from the previous season.
Plastic, waste paper, lost or abandoned objects are patiently collected by groups of volunteers: a deep cleaning that restores beauty to the mountain after the long winter season. At the end of this collective experience there is the satisfaction of having contributed, all together, to the conservation of the alpine landscape, flora and fauna.
Program
Piazzale Grivel 8.30 am: meeting, breakfast and distribution of starter packs (gloves, pliers, bags, gadgets, snacks) provided by the Summit Foundation. 13 Conferment and weighing of waste. Park Stamp 14 pm: thanksgiving and light lunch. Appointment in Courmayeur on June 2nd.
