Calabria in fabula, or bringing to mind the history of an ancient land through unpublished reinterpretations of fairy tales that have their roots among the centuries-old olive trees and the scent of Calabrian orange groves. And, again, to retrace some of the most difficult moments in recent history that have marked the identity of the Calabrian people and land.

It is a traveling theater project signed by Teatro in Note with the artistic direction of Vera Segreti and the organizational one of Lucia Catalano. The next two appointments are scheduled in Palmi (Costa Viola) on 23 and 24 July; and then to Tropea (Costa degli Dei) on 26 and 27 July. TO palms, on July 23 at the Teatro Manfroce, will be staged “37 seconds” the dramaturgical adaptation by Lucia Catalano, who also takes care of the direction, of the homonymous book by the Calabrian journalist and writer Mimmo Gangemi.
A Teatro in Note production with Ada Roncone, Carina Minervini, Giovanna Chiara Pasini and Matteo Lombardo. The play is inspired by one of the most catastrophic seismic events of the XNUMXth century: the earthquake of Reggio Calabria and Messina of 1908. On July 24, again at the Teatro Manfroce, the theater masterclass will be held by Vera Segreti herself.
On July 26 in Tropea, in the historic Palazzo Santa Chiara, Scena Verticale will present “King Pipuzzu made by hand. Calabrian melologue for three finals”. It is a show by and with Dario De Luca, with the original soundtracks performed live by Gianfranco De Franco. The representation is freely taken from the Calabrian fairy tale "King Pepe" collected by the Palmese literate Letterio Di Francia and rewritten by Marcello D'Alessandro.
